In one of our largest and most complex fire sprinkler systems, SERIT installed a custom-designed fire pump with a 150,000 Gallon underground cistern for a self-storage business built on an un-serviced site in the City of Edmonton. Managing this large, but intricate operation required flexibility and great attention to detail to meet the needs of the client and comply with AHJ/Fire marshal requirements.
Fire sprinklers were only a part of the fire system requirements. Coordinating the project from design through installation included finding a location for the tank, sizing the tank for a unique system fed by a vertical turbine fire pump, and intricate calculations for water drawn to ensure the client’s business and his customers would be well protected in the case of fire.
